Activity details

Unified Basketball is a fun and exciting inclusive sports programme which enables pupils with and without an intellectual disability to be coached and play together on the same team. It promotes teamwork and leadership. 

  • Number of Participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: STEP framework included Pupil roles:: Participant, Leader, Official, Mentor 
  • Space: Indoors - Ensure the space is suitable for skill development and competitive play; 3v3, 5v5 
  • Equipment: different size basketballs, bibs, basketball hoops/backboards
