Bee Proud Volleyball Festival

Mr Ellis, 3 Mar 2020

We went to the Bee Proud Volleyball Festival

A day after our winning Lacrosse competition we were back at Great Academy Ashton, however this time things were not quite as tense as we had three teams taking part in the Bee Proud Volleyball Festival.

The point of the festivals is to give lots of children a chance to play sport against other schools while representing Greenside while not worrying about the result but instead about improving, trying something new and showing off our school games values such as respect and determination.

It was a very chilled festival, with everyone having chance to play lots of games and get to grips with how volleyball is played, with some children playing their first event of the year.

We also saw some huge improvements throughout the

afternoon, with some great serving and rallies happening towards the end of the game.

At the end several of our children earned medals and school games badges, and I’m sure they are all excited to play in another event for school soon.

Player of the match was Jamie, who tried really hard throughout to improve his skills.
