Swimming Gala 14.11.23

On Tuesday 14th November, the following pupils in Years 5 & 6 represented Unicorn in the Bromley Schools' Swimming Gala at Beckenham Spa: Flo G, Naomi, Stella, Lola, Isobel, Rosie B, Romilly, Annabelle, Max P, Leo, Alex, Henry T, Alfie, Thomas F, Matthew P and Luc. It was a busy morning with three individual girls and boy’s races, a number of relay races and finishing with a mixed squadron race.

A New Unicorn Record for Cross Country

Eighteen pupils took part in the Year 5 & 6 Cross County Championships at Crystal Palace on Saturday 18th November. Well done to all those who were competing in their very first race. Just to complete the difficult course is a huge achievement and we are always extremely proud of everyone who takes part. Once again, Unicorn came away with some amazing results.

Return of the Swim Gala!

On Tuesday 15th November, a squad of pupils from Year 5 and 6 represented Unicorn in the Bromley School’s Swimming Gala at Beckenham Spa. It is the first time that this event has taken place in a number of years, so everyone was very excited to take part. It was a busy morning with three individual girls and boy’s races, a number of relay races and finishing with a mixed squadron race.

A great opportunity for the Year 5/6 Girls Football Team

On Friday 14th October 2022, Miss Letchford took a team of girls from Year 5 and 6 to represent Unicorn in a football tournament at Crystal Palace FC Academy training ground in Beckenham.

On Wednesday 11th March 2020, 10 children from Year 3 and 4 went to the Kent County Ground to take part in the Year 3/4 Mixed Football Tournament.

This week, the children of Unicorn were challenged to see how many speed bounces they could do in 30 seconds to see if they could beat Miss Letchford's score of 40.

Year 5/6 High 5 Netball 3.10.19

On Thursday 3rd October, Unicorn entered a team in the first sporting competition of the academic year, the Bromley High Five Netball Tournament at Hayes Secondary School.

Yr 5/6 Boys Best Football Tournament 6.11.19

On Wednesday 6th November, Unicorn entered a team in the Bromley Year 5/6 Boys Football Tournament at Kent County Cricket Ground. The team consisted of 10 boys from Year 5 and 6: Harry, Freddie, Joshua, Kenan, Lucas, Max, Rocco, Felix, Jude and Jas.

Primary Panathlon

On Thursday 7th November, 6 children from KS1 and KS2 went to Coopers Secondary School to take part in an inclusive festival, the Bromley Primary Panathlon. This is the first time that Unicorn have entered a team into this event, so we didn't quite know what to expect. The children had to compete in a number of exciting games including Boccia Blast, Kurling, Poly Bat and Parachute Popcorn.

On Thursday 6th June, 11 children from Year 5 and 6 went to Old Wilsonians Cricket Club to take part in a Year 5 and Year 6 Kwik Cricket Competition against other Bromley schools.

On Monday 24th June, 10 children from Year 2 went to OD Cuaco Cricket Club to take part a Year 2 Rapid Fire Cricket Competition to play against other Bromley schools.

Daily Mile School Challenge

On Wednesday 3rd July, 27 children from Year 2 went to Bromley Valley Gymnastics Centre to take part in the Primary Gymnastics Festival.

Yr 5/6 Keysteps Gymnastics Competition

On Monday 18th March, 4 pupils took part in the Bromley Key Steps Gymnastics Competition at Bromley Valley Gymnastics Centre . It was a great opportunity to work on a real sprung floor and in front of a panel of judges.

Yr 5/6 Korfball Competition

On Wednesday 27th March, 11 children from Year 5 and 6 went to Kent Cricket Ground to take part in their first ever Korfball Competition against lots of other Bromley schools. Korfball is a game with similarities to netball and basketball.

Unicorn Primary School opened in 2003 and has grown into a two-form entry school which is part of the Compass Academy Trust.
