Yr 6 Battersea Football League vs Ark John Archer

The rain was out in force again....but that didn't stop our Y6 footballers take to the pitch in the weekly Battersea Football League.

  

After getting to grips with the wet ball, and the additional care needed to keep possession, it didn't take long for Honeywell's 1st goal from Finn’s assist and Platon’s quick reaction to take the goal.

 Great defence from Max, Rhys and Will with continual pressure on John Archer’s Striker, effectively taking him out of the game and only giving him one shot at goal which Jago deflected off to the side.  

Matthieu at centre mid took an accurate pass crossed from Platon, and delivered a beautiful header to score Honeywell’s 2nd goal (even the John Archer Coach thought so and commented)!

 Finally in the last couple of minutes Finn took full advantage of the open goal with an assist from Matthieu to take the final score to 3-0.

Great win boys (although next week could we put in an order for less rain please)?
