2nd Place - Staffordshire Y5/6 County Finals - Wednesday 27th November @ St George's Park

After winning the East Staffordshire competition, the boys qualified to compete in the Staffordshire County Finals held at St George's Park. The competition was made up of two groups of 5 who would play 8 minute games against each other - with the top two teams qualifying to compete in semi-finals.

Y3/4 & Y5/6 Tag Rugby Tournament @ Robert Sutton - 3rd April 2019

Two teams from Y3/4 and two teams from Y5/6 entered the first of two tag rugby competitions taking place before Easter. The winners of today's Y5/6 competition will go on to represent East Staffs in a county competition next term.

Year 3/4 Hockey Tournament @ Shobnall – Friday 29th March 2019

9 children from years 3 and 4 participated in this week's hockey tournament. There were 13 other schools at the competition all fighting to win the trophy. Edge Hill were drawn in group With 6 other teams: Picknalls 1, Picknalls B, Rangemore A, Shobnall B, William Shrewsbury and William Gilbert.

On a bright spring evening after school, our two girls' football teams met Pennine Way for some friendly matches.

Today, 13 of our girls attended our first ever dance competition which was held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in the UDO IT! National Dance Finals. Children from year 3 to year 11 competed in a variety of categories within their own age groups.

A huge Well Done goes to the 32 children who made up the six teams representing Edge Hill at today’s gymnastics competition. The two Y5/6 teams and four Y3/4 teams all performed really well and did their very best.

Today, Edge Hill participated in the Derby County Ladies FC Girls’ Y5/6 Football Festival held at The Soccer Dome in Derby. Our team of 8 played in a group against 7 other schools from Derbyshire in 6 minute matches. The competition consisted of four groups of 8 with the winners and runners- up of each group receiving a trophy (1st place) and a certificate (2nd place).

County Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Finals @ Fenton Manor Sports Complex - 26th February 2019

The Y5/6 team had done brilliantly to win the East Staffs qualifier for the county indoor sportshall athletics finals, and today travelled to Stoke to compete against the other Stoke and Staffordshire schools who had also qualified. The county finals are always a step up in class from the local competitions and today proved to be no different.
