A new event on the North Dorset competition calendar this autumn term focused on addressing the transition years of 7 & 8 and the catch up groups within two of the areas secondary schools.

The Dorset Virtual Leadership Academy consists of a selection of pre-recorded workshops covering a variety of topics to provide training to young people on their leadership journey. The leadership academy offers a wide range of training to primary, middle, secondary and special schools and demonstrates the importance of developing young people to become the workforce of the future.

For one week only the primary schools of North Dorset will do battle with our noisy neighbours in the South, the primary schools of the Bournemouth School Games area, in the 'North V South' Koboca Challenge to see who is the greatest!

A superb response from a call to arms by two North Dorset Schools saw hundreds of students participate in a virtual fixture to claim North Dorset bragging rights.

The Youth Sport Trust After School Sport Club was created to help all young people feel part of a club while many schools are shut and youth sport is on hold. Focusing on much more than physical fitness, the club will help children develop physical literacy and the confidence to try new sports.

Dorset School Games are working with Dan the Skipping Man® this year to get everyone active and participating in skipping.

Primary Leadership Academies have gone mobile in North Dorset this Autumn ensuring the leadership and training opportunities are still on offer across the North of the county.

As a reward for their fantastic efforts at virtual interaction during lockdown, Pimperne Primary received a visit from two Dorset SGO's to run a day of orienteering activity for the whole school.

As you are fully aware, we find ourselves in an unprecedented situation during this time of National Emergency.
