  I am excited to be able to launch our first Virtual Competition, the Home Pentathlon. It is based around Sportshall Athletics and has been adapted for children at home or in school to take part in. It would be fantastic to have a good North Dorset representation in this Dorset wide virtual event.

The Virtual Competitions are available for families and students to download from here

The event is open from 20th May – 12th June 2020.  

The goal is to give students a chance to improve their personal bests and that sense of being part of a team and representing their schools.  It has been designed to be easy to follow, simple to set up and requires minimal equipment. Children complete 5 disciplines; Standing Long Jump, Speed Bounce (20s), Shuttle Run (20 x 5m), Target Throw (5m) and Vertical Jump.

There is a help sheet available to make the activities accessible using STEP for children with additional needs.

 This is the first of a number of virtual competitions which will be heading your way over Summer term 2, with tennis, dance and cricket events being released over the next few weeks.
