What are these sessions? These sessions are for 6-12 year olds who would like to learn various cycling skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. Our main aim is for your children to have fun riding bikes! They will happen all year round in most weather conditions.
The weekly sessions on Saturday's at 10am take place at the velodrome and are run by Bournemouth Cycling coaches and are suitable for 6-12 year olds.
It’s £2 to attend, children need their own bikes & helmets, pre booking essential via the following link - Bournemouth Cycling | 6-12s Coaching Session Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite
What to expect… Before: You must book via the Eventbrite link for every session – weekly tickets will be published on the Sunday of each week. If it’s your first time, you must complete the online consent form for each participant. This will be sent out prior to the activity.
During: The coaches will meet you at the gate which enters the velodrome. This will give you and the coach the opportunity to chat prior to the session if necessary. At the gate you must pay the £2 for the session. All sessions will be run on the flat surface and avoid the steep banking. Parents/ guardians can watch from outside the velodrome fencing but must always remain on site.
After: We are always keen to have any feedback you have on the session. Please don’t hesitate to speak to the volunteer coaches or email us.
Ways you can support… If you would be interested in supporting these sessions whether that’s as a volunteer coach, assistant, on the gate, parent representative or anything else then please let us know. “A lot of people doing a little, is better than a few people doing a lot”.
