Using the idea of RED January (Formerly Run Every Day) I have put together some resources to try and encourage students to do some activity every day called Ready Exercise Daily.
- Ready Exercise Daily Tracker- this would work well for families or KS1/ lower KS2 children to record what they are doing and stick it on the fridge. To access click here
- Sportfolio- good for your upper KS2 children and bronze ambassadors to set themselves targets and record what they are doing. To access click here
I have left the both documents editable so it can be completed online or carried on past the end of January.
In line with the RED January campaign the aims are to:
- empower, educate and support to start the year as you mean to go on, forming healthy habits to continue throughout the month and beyond.
- promotes the benefits of exercise combined with improving mental health.
- provide a goal and extra focus to help participants through what can be tough month, by challenging them to get active every day in a way that suits them.
- data shows those that take part are more active by the end of the period.
You can officially sign up here to RED January | RED January (redtogether.co.uk) and there is the option to fundraise for Sport in Mind. If you post via social media please tag me @SGO_Bournemouth
