The week of live free content will highlight the importance of SEND inclusion within schools with sessions from a specialist school, an interactive immersive digital stories experience, sharing of good practice within the education setting and an exciting youth voice panel discussion.
Aim of the week:
To provide live virtual CPD content for as many practitioners as possible to develop greater knowledge, competence and confidence to provide meaningful and inclusive opportunities for young people with SEND. The week will involve live sessions, delivered by expert practitioners and young people, every afternoon from the 7th -10th February with the sessions available to watch both live and recorded. With the support of the lead inclusion school network and Inclusion 2024 stakeholders we are hoping to spread the word of this fantastic opportunity to as many practitioners as possible.
Some context on the week:
Live sessions include:
· Sarah Wild- Head Teacher at Limpsfield Grange: an autism specialist school discussing the inclusion of girls with autism and wellbeing
· Lyfta and students with SEND: Interactive immersive digital stories experience which teaches values through sports
· Virtual Pool: Marjorie McClure Specialist School will host a discussion on inclusive school swimming and water safety
· Youth Panel: hearing from young people with SEND on how to make sport and PE relevant and meaningful.
From Monday 7th to Thursday 10th February 2022 there will be live sessions every afternoon via zoom.
Then on Friday 11th February we will be releasing pre-recorded content across a range of subjects to support inclusive practice.
